MILFORD FIRE AND RESCUE

We serve approximately 1200 people in Ellis and Northern Hill Counties. Our coverage area includes Interstate 35E, State Highway 77, FM 308 as well as several major pipelines throughout the area. We have mutual aid agreements with other departments, such as Italy, Avalon, and Forreston in Ellis County, and Mertens, Hillsboro, and Itasca in Hill County. In addition to these, we assist the Texas Forest Services on wildland emergencies.


The Milford Fire and Rescue currently has several members who hold EMT certifications.


RECRUITMENT

Qualifications to join the Milford Fire and Rescue:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must fill out an application (applications can be filled out on meeting nights)
  • Must pass a background check and not be convicted of a felony.
  • Must attend 2 consecutive meetings to be voted in (including the night the application is filled out and turned in.)


MEETINGS

Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
